A Web-based Management System for International Academic Symposiums

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a web-based management system for international academic symposiums. This system supports organizers in their tasks for general events such as management of participants and registration at the desk. Since the system is accessed via web browsers, we can use it on various platforms; PCs, smartphones, tablets, and so forth. In the system, we have focused on international academic symposiums in which several tasks differs from usual events. Also, we adopt Microsoft Excel files as database unlike conventional database system such as MySQL for ease of use. The proposed system has been used practically in an international symposium.
